Your child's first visit
What to expect
It is important to everyone at Dr. Egg Pediatric Dentistry that all of our patients and their parents consider our practice as we do: a happy, healthy, and safe environment. Your child's first visit is very important to introducing you both to the practice and helping to shape your child into a lifelong happy dental patient; as such it is important that we have plenty of time to devote to each individual patient. To achieve this, we ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your child's scheduled appointment in order to fill out appropriate paperwork and review our practice policies. To expedite this process, you may download our new patient forms below and bring the completed and signed forms with you to your child's first appointment.
You are welcome to accompany your child into the clinic area if you wish, and there is a bench provided for your comfort. If you have any accompanying children who are not being seen that day, we ask that for their safety they remain with you on the bench.
At this appointment, Dr. Egg and her staff will work one-on-one with you and your child to review proper oral health practices and to introduce your child to routine dental care. Your child will receive a thorough dental cleaning, x-rays as needed and appropriate, a comprehensive exam by Dr. Egg, and a fluoride treatment to strengthen the teeth. Dr. Egg and her staff will review their findings with you, make any recommendations for needed treatment, and answer any questions you may have.
